First field report, first night out! -

Evening chaps,
After reading The Game & The Mystery Method, along with watching the first two of Mystery's video seminars I tonight decided to take the first leap and get out and try the newbie challenge. It was minorly successful & I would appreciate your feedback on my account.
I decided to go to a local club, which I knew would be very busy. Upon entering I walked very confidently (& smiling) straight towards the other side. A few heads turned, which I thought was a good thing. However, I couldn't immediately see any sets that I thought would be a good start, so I went straight to the bar and attempted to scope out the place.
Whilst waiting to be served, a 7/10 appeared at my side and asked if I wanted to put our orders together (presumably in order to get served quicker). I wasn't expecting this, so was caught slightly off-guard. My first thought was to not seem needy & too keen, so, as she told me she was ordering 4 Smirnoffs, I asked how many of them were for me. She said she only had enough to buy the four for her friends, but if I gave her a kiss on the cheek, she might think again. This immediately rang out as a clear IOI! In order to neg, I told her that I'm not that cheap, but she could give me a kiss on the cheek instead. She didn't... (Too quickly into A2?)
She continued to show IOIs however, asking me what I do. I replied that I was a lion tamer, which she thought was funny. Then, not knowing how to follow that up (and not wanting to ask what she does), I told her what I really do, which was a bit of an anticlimax.
I then ran the "Did you see the girls fighting outside?" routine, which kept her interest & she then asked my name.
One of her friends then signalled to her that they already had the drinks, so she said she was re-joining them. Not wanting to follow (and not yet having ordered my own), I wasn't sure how to keep her there. And thus ended the first attempt.
I welcome your comments and suggestions as to what you would have done.
I think my first mistake was the choice of venue, as despite there being many 7, 8 & 9's there, the music was just that little bit too loud to make it hard to hear. Many of the girls (even at the bar) were dancing or half-dancing, which I thought would make my energy level seem too low upon approaching them.
I also tried the girls fighting opener on a two-set, who seemed completely disinterested by it...
Finally, in a minor attempt a peacocking, I wore sunglasses on my head, which I think worked. One girl on the way in asked why I was wearing them, to which I responded "Oh, they're not for me, they're to shield others from my brilliant smile..." I thought they would be good to lock-in a target.
I look forward to hearing from you all,
Flashman
