Preamble: This manifesto for change applies to all forums not just this very most delectable forum.

Once upon a time, we had an animated avatar by Tw1sted which fortunately has been swapped to a static image.
Tom has a damn animated avatar but isn't posting so much now (on an LTR?).
Oh and there's another one too, a spinning blue ying-yang annoying thing... isn't posting so much now

Animated Avatars = eye strain, due to having our attention subconciously moved to inappropriate parts of the screen, thus generally a nuisance when we want to read the text.

But, alas, Bristol City Boy is one da scene with his damn animated avatar!

I agree with the 'case in point', hadn't noticed it before but it is annoying. I do like twisted's walking bear head tho.

D, u do know that BCB will now want to pimp your avatar to an animated extreme by making your hand wave back and forward wildly, twice a second? It could make a spank motion or something.

I was thinking of spinning round and around with an accompanying strobe light.

If it's irritating a lot of people then I don't mind changing mine, but if the concencus is that people don't mind, I won't.
