Apologies if this has already been discussed/suggested but wouldn't it be helpful to have a map that PUAs can pin where they're located? (doesn't have to be exact if you want a little anonymity). This may help increase PUAs getting together and knowing who's in and around your local area?

Like I said, if it's already been thought of and dismissed please don't burn me...

Sounds like a good idea and I don't think it's been suggested. Dunno how easy it is to implement as i'm not a technical boffin, I suppose you could just have a link to google maps

Would be both interesting and useful to see where everyone is located.

Could also add pins for SPOIs or DGLs? (Sarging Points of Interest/Day Game Locations... I'm getting carried away making my own terms now...)

So I've had a fiddle with this google map stuff - dead easy - I've created an unlisted map just for demo with a few locations added to it.

Only people who have this URL can view the map so we can keep it to PUA members only.

Also it's secure to whoever owns the google account (may be able to collaborate to share usage and location addition - to research...).

Have had posts from a couple of new members who asked me whether I knew of any local planned sarges or where other PUAs were located - this seems a great way to help with these queries and bring PUAs closer together.

Yea sounds like a good idea. I should be able to integrate one into the forum
I'd probably put a 'postcode' field in your profiles which it'd use to map out all your locations.

The only thing holding me back is that I can't access the vbulletin development resources until I have a legit license, so as soon as we hit our donation target I can get stuck in.

Map by Post Code sounds good - although I will leave it to the technical bofs to do their stuff! lol
