Firstly I would say that your game wasn't that strong if you've lost everything with just 1 bad experience over a short period, but it sounds more like you've lost your self-confidence a little and need to find your groove again.

If you have self-confidence and you're not fugly, you don't need the canned openers, you can say all crazy kinds of shit to girls and they'll run with it but generally "Hey" works. I would advocate approaching girls where it's apparent there's mutual attraction.
The only hindrance that you'll encounter is High Schools clique culture, if that's even a thing where you live
