Monday 20th Oct

Long day driving back up from London. Afternoon lecture, got the bus in, 2 cute girls got on both of which I bottled opening to. After lecture decided to walk home to get the chance to open. Bottled it 5/6 times, reach town square see blonde sitting and looking at her phone. Ok

Blonde Fresher
I walk up with the confident "Hey" and sit down next to her, I say she looks like she's waiting for someone and she says she is, while taking her earphones out and putting them away. We had casual chit chat, i felt rushed and that I had to escape before the friends show up. I say I've got to go, that we should hang out and hand her my phone to put her number in. She does so, I say cool I'll call you later, kiss her on the cheek and leave.

IMPROVEMENTS the whole thing felt rushed and nervous, I need to slow down. Also the kiss on the cheek felt like a twat move, would not be suprised if she didn't phone back, whatever

Bicycle lecturer
Coming up to near my house I hear a bike behind me, I move to get out of the way and as she goes past I realise it's a cute girl. I rip my headphones out and give an overly loud "HI", she get's off her bike and says Hi back, I say my name is Nick, she says her name is whatever, I say my name is Nick AGAIN. We chat and we're right by her house, so I suggest that we hang later, I ask for her number and she won't give, I say let's meet at the pub in an hour.

It doesn't go well, I let her and the quite pub get on top of me, I wasn't funny, I was trying too hard to be cool, I was more abrasive than cocky. She withdraws when I touch her on the arm. She calls it like an hour in, we walk back because we live like 5 houses away from each other. Handshake goodnight, I ask for the number again, she says "really? it's not like we have anything in common", I say "fair enough, have fun"

Improvements I'm not surprised she wasn't up for it, I didn't come across as a fun person. I really let the quiet pub get on top of me being fun and outgoing, the pub me was nothing like the bold me that she met on the street. Short term fix I'm done going to that pub, but must push the envelope more.
