That practice will have worked at some point, like many things in life work occasionally but we are wanting to be genuine and consistent... natural. And nothing is more genuine and consistent than being yourself.

I feel like them practices brings the guy in under the radar so to speak, making it extra creepy for the girl.

Just being normal/natural has got people laid for hundreds of years; I'd say that's a damn good success rate if you ask me!
