I also don't agree with 'the nice guy finishes last' theme promoting lying, cheating and so on, he gives examples in favor of his opinion but then fails to realise the fact that people end up in jail or killed for these things, the Alec Baldwin clip is good acting but in real
life it would be unlawful and stir all kinds of resentment that would eventually come back at you.

I do however love the video from zeitgeist towards the end of the article, it's interesting but isn't in the theme of the rest of the article, if the writer is trying to peruse this message then fair play but he isn't doing it in a way thats remotely persuasive to me.

Overall I think he may have had good intentions writing the article but it's not for me, he is far too insulting, presumptuous and prejudice. The whole thing stinks of chasing some form of non existent perfect.

"you are not your job", unless you live to work. I work to live.
I'm not sure its so much based around the presumption that you automatically hate you life, I just think that for some people it takes a bit more effort to become contempt with yourself, so a few harsh truths can be a kick in the right direction. Not trying to defend the guy, he sounds like an asshat, but there are quite a few things in modern society which do ring true, your not going to get anything handed to you (unless of course your born into it ... bastards) and sometimes you need to have that bit of self worth about you to be able to put your best qualities on show.

I've loved the phrase "Don't live to work, work to live" ever since I've known what exactly it was I love to work on, making my hobby my career was an entirely fulfilling (maybe off a tangent here), but I can truly relate to working to fulfill yourself, anything that's worth having isn't going to come easy to you.
