I've mentioned that I'm an urban explorer on this forum a few times, usually as analogies comparing people coming into that online society being similar to the pickup forums. Figured I'd throw a bit more info out there.

My friend just released his review online of his stay here over the summer as part of his PhD thesis, and it's kinda fun and interesting seeing the people I associate closest with being described as a 'society'. Makes us feel all official and shit.

You guys will also enjoy his site beyond his review of the twin cities; he's london based, and is member of the group that cracked the Victorian Sewers, Abandoned Tube Stations and London Mail Rail in 2010-2011. They've done some crazy stuff over there, so to get a review like this saying they look up to us is pretty heartwarming, to say the least. Plus they're great peoples, and we party with them as often as our wallets can afford international airfare.

Also, there was a documentary that was community-produced last year, and tonight the second installment in the series is getting its world premiere in honor of MSP's opening night of our annual international UE convention (both London & Minneapolis is going to be hosting private underground projections, since it was a joint venture between us from the same trip). I should note that the UK's totalitarian government has a court date set trying to shut my friend's website and videos down because he's making them look like nobs, so watch the videos while you can!
