You should definitely read "Conquer Your Campus" - I'm not even at university any more but it definitely helped me with dealing with situations like this - there's posts above me (Maxemillion and Joker, great advice lads) that echo the same sentiment but if you're running solo then just be THAT AWESOME GUY who you run into on nights out, and spend more time doing crazy stuff than worrying about picking up girls, if you're fun, interesting and sociable, they'll come to you. If not, get one of your new friends from the evening to introduce you to them
