I don't want to be that slippery guy who takes pleasure in the misery of others. I've unintentionally ended up in situations like this, where a girl told me AFTER that she had a bf, or she told me she was just seeing a guy and it wasn't anything official, she'd told him she didn't want to be his gf blah blah... but neglected to tell me that he was head over heals in love with her and that also her feelings for him were a little deeper than she had admitted to me. It just ends up a fucking shit time for all involved and I too paid the price.
