I think cars are there if you need them for work or family responsibilities.

I'm single, in Exeter and because of traffic etc. I can get from 1 side of Exeter to the other as fast (usually faster) than an average driver on my bicycle. without worrying about parking, speeding etc. I'm right next to the station so I can be in London in 2.5hrs, Bristol and Plymouth in less than 1. And the best bit, it keeps me fit and healthy so I keep trim.
