In most cases I'd move on and get the hint but there are exceptions sometimes...

I was quite desperate once and a friend (female) was pushing me into 1 of her girls and introducing us + later telling her a few good things to get my value a bit up. When on the dance floor after flirting, etc, she grabbed both my arms and said she has a boyfriend loud and clear.

me: I've got a girlfrend
her: really? you're lying!
me: I actually do, there's nothing wrong with a sneaky dance

she proceeded to grind and we ended up in her bed later on were I found out she actually hates her BF who's on holiday and hasn't spoken to her much at all lately. In the morning I told her that I didn't actually have a GF but she didn't seem to care.

In that situation I'd say it was acceptable to pull her as she would have cheated on her BF anyway and was just making me weary. In most situations where the girl wasn't indicating any interest with any guy and being boring I'd have moved away as soon as she said she had a BF with a comment of something like 'He must be a nice guy'
