I've thought a little about this, and I can see what Pic is trying to get at. At the same time, I'd come down somewhere between the two of you, and probably actually agree with neither of you!

For me, this is a little too contrived. It strikes me as being pretty difficult to set up, and do you really want to put all that effort into finding an excuse to talk to a girl when you could just walk up and say 'Hello'?

But then, on the other hand, in recent weeks I have often spent long nights asking countless girls their opinions on custard. I do this in order that I am able to begin a conversation. This is planned. It is contrived. Once I have started that conversation, I'll flick away from contrived stuff and interact with the girl(s) in question. So whilst I personally wouldn't use Pics method, I am also someone who contrives from time to time. Its worth experimenting with, and at least Pic is having a go.

But really, I don't totally agree with either of you!
