Here's the thing with dodgy women, it doesn't matter how dodgy a woman is, because as long as she looks good, men will go to her. Women are also not expected to make a first move, or even try to impress men. So her dodginess is actually irrelevant when it comes to the initial stages of dating. Women are ultimately the gate keepers and have the final say on whether she dates you or not. Men, on the other hand are the ones who have to make the first move, and has to impress women. I like to compare it to dodgy landlords. If you're a dodgy landlord, people will still rent from you. Tenants may move out after the lease is up, but people will still rent from you. If you're a dodgy tenant, the landlord can always turn you down, or not rent to you.

Men with mental illness, and or stalker tendencies will be hindered from making a good impression. Their inability to read emotions will lead to miscalculations, rejection, and failure. Their low self esteem can lead to them not being assertive when the situation calls for it. The rejection could also lead to an even lower self esteem than they originally had.

Men with mental illness also lack the right social circles to get introduced to women. Women on the other hand, even if mentally ill, don't need social circles to date. They can walk down the street smiling, and someone will go up to her. If you're a mentally ill man, you can walk down the street smiling all day, and no one will come to you.

Obviously, all this (mental illness) wouldn't be a problem for women because they don't have to make the first move. Furthermore, if you're a man with a bad reputation, that can also hurt you. Some PUA operate in the same vicinity, and gain a repuation for being a pua, therefore women avoid you. There are some some parks that are known to have alot of pua, and women in those places have a tendency of brushing all men off regardless of whether they're pua or not, simply because the park is known to have lots of active pua.

it's very difficult for someone to overcome his ego and to talk to unknown women, and thats precisely why men prefer meeting women through work, school, mutual friends, online dating, and NOT through cold approach.

If you're both mentally ill, and a pua, then that's going to be a problem. As a matter of fact, most pua are mentally ill. That's why the success rate for pua is so low.
