I can remember how much cheaper everything was back in the 1990s despite taking into account rises in the inflation the 90s was still a lot cheaper than today. For example in the late 1990s you could by a one day bus pass in London for zones 1 & 2 for £1:80 and travel everywhere. I sold the Big Issue back then and when it came out in 1991 it only cost 50p. I was still only 70p when I started selling it in 1996! Now it cost 3pounds, no wonder hardly anyone will buy it these days. Radio was also better back then. In London there was a brilliant independent radio station from 1996 to 1999 called Liberty radio. Which was a lot like Magic radio is today. It had great DJs and played a good mix of music.
