No if someone has a particular way of thinking or belief it doesn't just switch on and off. It becomes apart of their identity, they will express their view regardless of who will witness it.



So when Columbus first suggested that the Earth was round which went against all popular opinion and was ridiculed for it. He should of just kept his mouth shut to avoid looking like a twat? maybe you care too much about what people think of you.

Most of what is considered popular knowledge is bullshit, if nobody expressed differing views the world would be a far worse and more ignorant place.

There is some truth to what he said, people from different cultures and countries often pick up certain beliefs and ways of thinking which effects their actions. Like getting fat and feeling entitled.
