Never settle for a facebook close, always push for the number if you can. Girls love facebook its such an easy way of rejecting guys subtly without any drama, it also takes away any guilt on their part because they think they actually did give you something for your effort in asking. How many of us have random people or people we couldn't give two shits about on our facebook?? I do, when I think about it some of these people I only added because I'd feel a sense of guilt (however small) if I didn't add them as a 'friend'. Facebook is such a fickle and disingenuous place and we all fall victim to it at times.

With this girl I'd move on, a fb close isn't a close at all really. Don't do the chodey obitor thing by leaving inane comments or messages on her fb page, its embarrassing and blatantly obvious for all to see. I try to avoid fb as much as poss, seeing guys writing lame shit on girls walls makes me nauseous.
