Clothing

Hai guyz, recently I've been thinking about clothing and its use in getting the girlies. When I was an AFC I thought wearing shirts etc. out all the time would make me look my best for girls but its come to light that this is wrong for a various reasons:

1) Everyone does it, you don't look original and you certainly don't look like the coolest muthafucker in the room
2) Funny and original clothes attract attention and create an instant opener(for them).

Now I'm not talking about all this mystery method extreme shiznit, I'm talking about cool clothes. I recently bought YELLOW PRAWN CREW NECK T-SHIRT - Printed T-Shirts - Mens T-Shirts and Vests - TOPMAN pretty much for a laugh. I wore it out one night and I got a load of people approaching me complementing my t-shirt. (chargrilled.co.uk have loads of cool t-shirts like this)

I then thought, how can I use this as an opener and figured like, If I bought an "I'm with stupid" t-shirt I could get my mates to take pictures of me next to random girls which would be a pretty good opener imo.

What'dya guys think?

Recently I've taken to just wear plain coloured t-shirts, I've got a few weird t-shirts like bison on bikes and moustaches for gentlemen but I haven't noticed any more or less success.
My only worry with things like this is appearing to try too hard to get a reaction but maybe I'm just looking too deep into this, if it's working then keep doing it.

One thing I get a lot of success with is my Chairman Mao hand waving watch that my sister bought me from China. Even though it's shit at telling the time, constantly wrong even after you set the time an hour later its wrong again.

I call this Communist time and last time I was out I started talking about decadent western capitalist time being wrong. I like it because it lets me express my random side, waffle about shit and create random worlds and personalities, i sometimes use it as a start point.

Personally i dont agree with using clothes to stand out, its a prop. I agree with Tom it comes across as trying too hard. When i see guys wearing t shirts like Sex Drums and Sausage Rolls it just screams "hey arent i wacky and funny."

A guy with the right attitude will get interest from a girl regardless of what he is wearing. Wear whatever works for you and not what you think you should be wearing

Tbh it doesnt look like its trying to hard, everyone has to wear clothes, it just shows you've gota sense of humour and that you dont take yourself seriously. Of course what you say is right about getting attention naturally is true malko but there's no harm in making it easier - it helps get approaches and it gives girls a bail out card if they dont know what to say to you.

What's important is that you think what YOU wear is cool because you are the coolest motherfucker on the planet.

If you think that wearing a bright luninescent yellow t-shirt with a smiley face on that says "be happy" is cool, then it will be, because you find it cool! Remember, if she picks up that you feel happy about yourself she will get good vibes from you, and hence you come over as higher value.

Just wear a tight fitting top that shows your biceps, triceps and pecs if you got them sticking out that is...:D

Flake 25-08-2009 03:08 AM

That top is tight fitting ;) Jaz, I don't really agree that it appears desperate, but then I can see why you'd think that. I think I can pull it off because I look rather young. Though in all honesty I bought it cos it made me laugh and not for any pickup reasons. My aim with dressing is to look relaxed in informal situations and 'intellectual' in formal situations ( Buy Black Wool Rich Double Breasted Coat from the Next UK online shop being my desired sorta look in the latter)

Tom 25-08-2009 08:55 AM

The only problem with the double breasted coat is that lots of people have them, I've got one and I bought it 2 years ago!

I go through phases of dressing fairly plain and then going all out on accessories. It all depends on the mood I'm in and that's important. You have to feel, or at least seem to be comfortable with what you are wearing, or else it just won't work and you'll end up looking an oddball.

For all those who question a degree of lairiness over blending in, it can't be denied it permits girls a great excuse to approach you, or at least a talking point... further still an excuse for her to start kino/touching you. Nothing wrong with this, why would we want to stop them?! If it creates interest/attraction then great.
