Nailed it...
 

First, a bit of background.

It started when I started getting back into the clubbing scene last year. I was looking at some outfits online and picking something to wear, and I noticed that the model had his nails painted black. I liked it, so the next day I picked up some black nail varnish and painted them.

The amount of comments I got about it immediately astounded me, and I was hooked.

Nowadays, I ALWAYS have the little and the ring fingers on my left hand painted (either a colour or a design), and if I'm going out, I'll usually do my entire left hand.

It started with just black. Then black and red. Then black, red and white. Then multicoloured, and now I have 12 colours and do patterns, themes and all kinds.

Anyway, onto my point

What I've found is that the nail peacocking is massively overlooked. I can be standing at a bar, holding a drink up, or whatever, and I'll get opened all the time by girls saying things like "OMG, who did your nails", and why I say "I do it" it's great DHV as it's a talent. I usually then make a joke out of the fact I'm right handed which is why I only paint the ones on my left as the other side comes out messy.

I've also noticed that the more elaborate the designs, the more attention it gets.

Star Wars theme. You'd be surprised how many girls are correctly able to point out Boba Fett.

Converse All-Stars. Up until last week, these were my favourite. They take literally hours to do right though.

My new favourite, and the one that gets most people talking, is the monsters. Doing every nail on both hands like that looks wicked. Instant opener, AND you can "attack" the girl with your nails. Instant kino.

Anyway, just thought it was worth mentioning because if any other guys paint their nails when they're out sarging, you might wanna try jazzing them up a bit more and see if it helps with your opening.

Am I any less of a man because I paint my nails, occasionally put on eye-liner when I go out, moisturise and use expensive hair products; all because I like the way it looks? Or, in reality, am I more of a man because I have the balls to be self-expressive in a way that I feel reflects my nature and not give a shit about what anyone else has to say about it?

Painted nails...Look I’m not knocking it just take Mystery as one very good example, does it work? Without question it works every time.

The problem is it doesn’t sit well with everyone, me included. I for example could never get away with it. I have clients I meet all the time when I’m out an about, most have archaic views and I would lose several thousand on the back of them seeing me with painted nails. The point I’m trying to make is its not for everyone, but should I still peacock. YES. Or put another way do I want girls to notice me.

Just take a look round any typical bar, club its full of clones, designer clones, cheap clones but still clones.:)

Women notice everything, who is the prettiest girl, what she’s wearing and if a hot guy walks in. So if you’re an average guy wearing a pair of designer whatever’s she’s not even seen you on her peripheral.

Okay, I’m a bit of a fashion misfit, but it works in my favour, I guarantee when I walk into a bar/club every single girl has seen me, so what if the guys think what the fucks that guy wearing, that’s cool I’m not looking to shag you mate or after your approval.

If I’m in a bar I might wear a brown/green Mod style three quarter length Jacket with red velvet collar, a night club maybe a 70’s style shirt with the tie made from the same material as the shirt or a olive green waist coat.

Okay, not everyones taste but you get the idea, so I’m stood at the bar and without fail if a girl is stood next to me she’ll say love your jacket...and I’m in with absolutely no effort at all. Its that fucking easy. Much easier than finding a group, approach anxiety, what do I open with, etc

Okay so i’m not suggesting you paint your nails or look like a designer 60’s throwback, just stand out from the crowd of fucking clones buying stuff suggested in the pages of FHM. Get a piece of ‘whatzit’ jewellery, that prompts a girl to say ‘what’s that’, if you want to be fashionable get the most outrageous fashionable clothing you can find, get slogan t-shirt, get a weird hair cut, wear a large fake afro wig, look like a cunt if you have to, girls love a guy with the balls to do shit like that.

Once you’ve got her then you can show her how fucking FHM normal fashionable you can be.:D

You're right Knave, it's not for everyone, and that's great for me, because it everyone did it, it wouldn't allow me to stand out.

I spend most of my evenings with fellow musicians and such, so can dress however the fuck I like and not be judged. I've seen guys with silver glitter eye-liner (a step too far even for me), and the girls fawn over them for it. You're right, they love a guy with balls. At least the kind I'm into are anyway.

End of the day, I dress and paint and make-up in a way that I like on me and that attracts the kinds of girls I like towards me. Sometimes they open me, sometimes I open them; doesn't bother me either way, as long as the openings are happening. Some girls will be put off by my bold style, but you know what? Fuck 'em, there's plenty more where they come from.

On a side point, I'm out tonight and just bought a selection of comedy fake moustaches for the group. I pick the dirty Mexican!

What BCB failed to included was that I caught him and the girl he's currently sitting down and painting each others nails... awwwww... such a lady boy.. I mean... ladies man :hihi:

Actually no. I've never read anything that Mystery wrote; never read The Game; never read any PUA material (other than the discussions on here of course); I'm just me being me and having my opinions... As I said, I did it because I saw a model on a website wearing it and thought it look good, simple as that.

Actually yes, yes I would. Like I said, I like the way it looks. Get 99% of people (guys and girls) saying that it looks awesome, and 1% who say "it looks gay" or whatever... Do you think I care about those people. Fuuuuuck no. As I've said over and over again, I do things for me, because I like it. I'm not after anyone else's approval, but if they like it too, fine, if not, also fine.

That's fair enough - I mean, when I buy something new to wear and I don't give a shit what anyone thinks nor do I need their approval, the first thing I do is to make a thread on the internet with a picture of said item. Just common sense.
