This book is absolute trash.

He leaps wildly across unconnected topics to draw a very simple narrative, connecting disparate points and drawing a fantastical image that he probably started out with.

Every theory he doesn't like is strawmanned, sometimes he repeatedly makes different strawmen of the same theory... that's just idiocy.

I'm not at the end yet but so far it is a waste of time, so continuing is tough. However, I'm hopeful that at some point he'll address the broader and longer history of our species instead of just arguing about who's Just So Story is the true true.

Stopped at the half way / switch between parts 1 and 2 point.
Don't waste your time, it is a whole lot of cherry picked, self contradiction. If you want to convince girls to be promiscuous (because that seems like the only value in this fake-ass theory) you're better off with that pua that used to be a porn guy.

He plays off a lot of rhetorical nonsense

He's saying things like "X only existed 3 times in history. Meanwhile Y was a central element of the Smongwilabap tribe of West Kenmucky, the Katszkacham people of Dankest UrGoo and the Heavy Dave booty scratchers of Dickinsonville."

But that's just 3 examples too. Only he spells them all out to make it seem like it is more significant.

I enjoyed reading it highly. Some guys don't like the strong evidence it shows of women being born to be promiscuous because it makes them question why they arn't getting laid enough themselves. Not you OP, I'm sure.

I love the nodding agreement you can get when telling girls on a date that 'vocal projection' during sex by women was developed as a call to more males to fertilise them. "That makes so much sense!"

Not as wise to mention the penis head having a ridge (and combined with thrusts) to scrape out other mens sperm...

The nodding agreement of someone who just got fooled by bro science because that isn’t true. Look into it, the current consensus amongst experts, of which he is not one, is that he was wrong about that.

If you can convince a girl to believe what the book says, she might be more likely to put out which, I think, was the authors personal goal in writing it.

I've not read this book and have no horse in the game here, but a PhD doesn't necessarily mean you're not a crackpot. The guy who ran the intelligent design movement had a PhD, didn't make him right.

My brother spend 7 years getting a PhD at Oxford. I bought an honorary one in psychic powers online for 30 bucks. Same letters, different meaning.

The author has a PhD in psychology, Stein. The co-author is some otherwise unknown chick he seduced. He talks pretty candidly on multiple JRE episodes about how he has focused his life around convincing chicks they should be sexually promiscuous and enjoyed the fruits of that labour.
