The world of app's

We're living in a modern, ever growing society where our advances in technology has rapidly grown over such a short period of time. Shit I'm only 21 and I remember my cassette games computer, the first Nintendo and using floppy's in school. I will add, the Nintendo and games computer will never be thrown out, Duck Hunt!

The smartphones, androids and the like have tons of variations of apps to suit, well practically everything. I was looking at all the apps and was somewhat confused to which apps would be worth while to download.

Recently I've been asked, then firmly asked, then punched and firmly asked, then told and finally discretely robbed of my phone and installed whatsapp behind my back. I've no idea how to use it or why its better that just normal texting and multimedia messaging. Until it hit me that multimedia messages cost for PAYG costumers. I get them free but somehow that, even though it didn't effect me, made me rationalize using it to the point that I hardly use anything else. Plus you get lots of dirty photo's. Yeah that was quite possibly the fact that rationalized its usage.

So I'm branching out here. What are your top apps? And what apps have you tried and will never go back to?

Whatsapp

Snapchat - girls send tits & stuff on this. I talked girls I've never met before into it.

Netflix - don't use it much but it's good. Did breaking bad a few weeks ago. Awesome show.

Email accounts

The UTV app - Northern Ireland news

Twitter

Facebook

YouTube

Lottery results

Google maps

Online banking

Dictionary - Really useful if you're studying & need to find another similar word instead of repeating the same one over & over. That's where it helps me.

Yelp - For reviews of places you want to go like restaurants, clubs, flower arranging, whatever you want.

Counter - For keeping track of daytime approaches

These are generally the apps I use a lot

I got the HTC One recently & it has a blink feed screen where you can have whatever you're into regularly updated, you then just scroll through it as it happens. I currently use it solely for for boxing news updates.

tinder, PoF, facebook occasionally (not installing that messenger app though)
tasker can be used to create an auto-liker for tinder, as well as automating pretty much anything on android

I've installed snapchat but not set it up, might have to get round to that if I'm missing boobies :)

I use myfitnesspal intermittently to track calories, and endomondo to track my lunchtime walks/runs

kindle, originally installed as I had a free trial of prime, and wanted to 'borrow' Manson's 'Models' :p I've found a few free books I am enjoying, might eventually give them some money

other 'off topic' apps I swear by include gStrings (really accurate free guitar tuner app), realcalc (scientific calculator), XBMC remote to control my media centre, and quickoffice for taking quick notes/spreadsheet calculations
