Continuing on the theme of historic pick-up artists...

Yad is infamous for the "yad stop," running up to a set from behind, getting in front of them and acting "alpha."

I've heard a lot of bad things about him from two of his ex-clients, like having an arrogant vibe and wasting a large fraction of client's time on eating and gaining weight.

Thoughts?

I met him briefly in Krakow a couple of years ago, he was "teaching" an Arab student for 2 weeks, getting paid a fortune. He was a bit distant, you could tell he believed his own hype (or the folklore surrounding him). And yes, I've heard similar stories, and they don't surprise me. Like a lot of these "famous" daygame coaches, they were just in the right place at the right time, as this whole daygame thing was kicking off in the UK, and were able to market and profit from it.

Funny enough, I bumped into Tom Torero close to Holborn station about 3 weeks ago, personable guy, open to having a chat, didn't seem up himself. Regardless of what anyone says about him, his material has inspired a lot of guys to take action and control of their dating lives. Very average looking, tall, incredibly slim, but looks good for his age.

Ah long time no see!

Do you remember how much this student was paying Yad for? I've heard of quotes for about £150 a day, which actually seems pretty low considering Yad... I know that VibeSpreader here has encountered him in London as well.

Tusk is the only "well known" one that I've personally encountered. Many of the historical ones are still active, if not spewing out scam courses. Richard La Ruina (gambler) in particular comes to mind, and I might create a separate thread for him in future. What was Tom Torero doing, coaching or just visiting there?

Oh and congrats on your 100th post, "master PUA" :P

I remember a leading PUA instructors from 2007called Richard Macklewane who was about 23 at the time and also worked for PUA training like Yad. His forum name was My own method. He had several I field videos on youtube for years but they have all gone now. His approaches were totally different to Yads', as he would do indirect approaches during the daytime. I think a few people on here might remember him.

I don't know the exact amount, but I imagine 2 weeks would be a lot of money.

He (Tom) said he was retired, but does the occasional coaching session, was in London to visit a family member. He's now a Ski Instructor in Switzerland.

I heard about the skiing thing from his black sheep podcasts. Sounds pretty awesome.

I'd take advice/coaching from him over a charlatan like Yad any day.

What was he doing when you met him, was he approaching or coaching?

its funny how you seem to "hear" things about these coaches but don't actually have any first hand information yourself... you seem utterly clueless about every single one of them...
