Iboga - Altered states of consciousness

Dont know if anyone seen this on TV a while ago. It was on Bruce Parry's Tribe programme on BBC. He is with a tribe who take a drug called Iboga (which is a powerful hallucogen) as an initiation which forces them to look at themselves and the wrongdoings in there lives, he basically goes on a massive mind trip for days and it has a major effect on him, dont want to spoil it for you so just watch it. Its profound!

The drug is now being used to treat alcohol and drug addicts in the western world.

Would you take it??

You should read a book by the Author Aldous Huxley called The Doors of Perception Heaven and Hell. Its about his experiences on Peyote. very interesting.

I love this kind of thing. Watching that I started off with a pre-conceived perception of the primitive tribe I was watching, then I started to think that in many ways they are more advanced than us. Reminds me of the work of Dr Gabor Mate in so far as he talks about the lack of community in upbringing children through adolescence in the Western world. The whole tribe was invested in moving that guy through a rite of passage, psychologically, do we have anything in the West that is remotely as effective? Fascinating stuff cheers for posting it.

Yeah thats kind of the way I see it. I'm currently reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, I know its only fiction but it toys with the idea of modern science making 'rediscoveries' as oppose to new 'discoveries' as the ancients were far more advanced than we are today. When I finish the book I'll try to separate fact from fiction as you never know with Dan Brown books. Anyway i'm going off on a tangent, these types of tribes are the closest thing we have to ancient peoples and who's to say they aren't more advanced than we are, at least on a spiritual level.

LSD Study Nears End

Finally some proper research is being done on LSD for its therapeutic benefits. Decades of research lost for stupid political reasons.

Good vids cheers, modern humans have completely lost touch with how to be animals and process their emotions naturally. Anyone tried Salvia? that drug will fuck you up with visions and 'lessons' as well. Mexican shaman's drug.

I wish shrooms were still legal that's some funny stuff. I remember at one point I thought I was a dog and was planning my new life as a dog.

Love shrooms, yo! ... and acid when you can get it. Shrooms are the real deal though.

Really want to try some DMT since I heard Joe Rogan banging on about it. No one knows where, what, how.

Peace,

kowalski

Autumn. Find nice wet forests, the best of luck is in valleys/gorges with a river nearby in the local area. There is a particularly common place near me by a disused railway in the above conditions that has always grown them naturally.

Used to be legal and I'd happily collect them every year for myself and friends.. Sigh, that would make me a dealer if I ever did that now.
