In "state"
Yo dudes, what does being in "state" mean to you. how do you get in "state". what does being in "state" look like for you
for me it involves the following; -letting my guard down completely, not being protective at all -being totally open -thinking out aloud -being high energy -not being afraid of being ridicoulous -not being afraid of taking risks -not being in my own head, ie not giving a shit -knowing that i am high value -improvising -being expressive -being positive -being cocky/funny/sarky (cos i am anyway..:)) peace! |
Being the ultimate force in the universe, having a random smile/smirk on my face thats not forced.
Being Chuck Norris having powers so magical that paul daniels and debbie magee bow in awe knowing that if i was out with Master Yoda the last thing he would say to me is ' help you i will' |
Grinning like a cheshire cat for no reason whatsoever and knowing that I am an unstoppable force
|
For me it's really just the lack of thought, a feeling of being present and satisfied in the moment.
PS |
State is where you know exactly what your doing, you just aren't aware who's doing it.

Totally agree on the flow slide. I play the rather bizzare sport of American Football (lived in the USA for some time!) and this can be a complex game. Lots of set plays, positions and it is "stop start". At first is impossible to get a flow because you are constantly worried about where you need to be for the play. Gradually though it picks up and all the complixities start to make sense and you worry only about beating the other team.
Pick-up is much the same for me - getting into a "state" means understanding the situations far better. On night one clubs were loud, difficult and confusing. 8 nights out in bars and clubs and I'm starting to get used to them; not home turf yet but they make some sense. So I guess when I'm in "state" my focus is on the girls and meeting them; not worrying about whether I'm "doing things right". Quote:
