How to get my mind of the ex

Im having an issue at the moment where I keep thinking about my "one" we were together for two years and split 7 months ago and now she is seeing a new guy. Only problem is but she is always on my mind and its effecting my confidence when I go out. I know its just my ego fucking with me since shes no longer around to validate me, I cut ties with her completely so it could be easier for me to heal and also because I also didnt want to be witness to her new relationship and hope I could sort my head out. But it dosent seem to be doing much good

I know I have done the right thing by cutting the ties with her, but how do I get my ego to stop giving me a hard time?

Can anyone help me out with this?

I had a similar thing, go out and do new things, when we finished, I started doing better at the gym (more time) started street dance classes, holidays, and in turn meeting loads of new people...tons of stuff....and you (maybe) realise how they were holding you back

Its still fucking with my head, but I have an old girl friend coming over to keep me company tonight. So hopefully that might take my mind off it

My girlfriend of two years broke up with me in June. You can probably understand how much I'm hurting atm. I haven't cut off any contact with her, we're still texting each other and talking on facebook most days. Whenever I'm by myself I'm thinking about her, so I'm spending as much time with friends and family as I can.

If she said 'I want to get back with', I would instantly. Being with her has been the best thing in my life.

I'm weird.

I have had my heart broken before and ached like a motherfucker. But It never lasts long... Like a few days. I get excited about the opportunity to meet new people, new girls and getting my game back. I think it's all about using your extra spare time to do fun things with nice/new people, develop yourself and get back into waving bye to your comfort zone. That way you will be better and find an even better girl. Also the old ones tend to want you back.

It's an awesome opportunity and when you find the one you'll never have it again.

Make the most of it and enjoy it.

Your a lucky man

break ups never used to get me down either. But once you think you found that person it takes on a whole new dimension of suffering. Prob the shittiest feeling you can ever have.

I know how you feel mate. They can make you feel so down too even when you go out and keep yourself busy. But never drink alone...
