The Rational Male (By Rollo Tomalsi)
My coach gave me this book some time ago, but I didn't get to read it.
I must say, I'm not sure what to make of it. The various chapters are something like Oneitis Plate spinning Hypergamy How to be an "alpha" male Women's "love" and how it is conditional rather than absolute (like she can quickly move on from a man faster than a man can from a woman) How women see regret compared to men Rules that he follows in regards to women General stuff about the feminised society which he refers to as "the matrix" which is quite annoying! How women are more valuable than men, due to the fact that they are breeding machines It makes for some depressing reading and looks like a man will never truly relate to a woman at all. But I'm not really sure whether it's right or not? It's all a bit abstract and strange. |
I'm gonna necro this thread and state that I found the Rational Male to be a horribly negative book. One book I'd definitely not recommend for anyone with anxiety issues.
Whenever I've delved into this book, I've felt worse whenever approaching/gaming women, as I subconsciously think about the negative content in it. I've shelved it for now and only plan on returning when I'm happier with my results. James Tusk commonly recommends the book for beginners of his coaching. This has certain implications for what kind of clients he's looking for (as in, ones which don't have mental issues). Z |
Yeah, I had a flip through it a while back when it came up on here and it's super toxic. Lots of red/black pilled incelish kind of talk, pretty socially Darwinian. Glad I never came across it when I was a beginner.

For a beginner, what would you recommend? I started out with some of Tom Torero's material. Z |

A lot of people talk about Mark Manson's book "Models" for a starter. Read that last year and it's pretty solid.
Honestly, this is something no one wants to hear but the less information you bog yourself down with at the start the better. Without a decent amount of reference experience, you'll have no way of distinguishing good advice from bad, or even interpreting good advice in the proper context. Figure out the minimum you need to start going out a lot, go out a lot, and look for answers to specific things as and when you get stuck |

I agree with your other point to an extent. Someone I used to wing with spent roughly £1000 on Gabriel Grey's "Surgical Method" programme, which is an enormous font of theory but with basically no coaching at all (other than the odd Skype call). Has he got better results since starting the programme? Nope, because he evidently is implementing it wrong and needs in-person help from an experienced individual to use the techniques correctly. |

Nah. It’s because it doesn’t work. “i think it's essential reading for all men“ It most definitely is not. Peace, kowalski |

Russian girls are pretty hot IMO, but restraint is a virtue. The woman who I'd ultimately want to have children with (and I guess by extension, marry), I'd want to be with for a while first. |

The bullying part makes me curious. I wonder if a lot of guys who get into approaching/PUA/whatever originally were in really low places to begin with. I'd like to think that the ones who pull thru, make the best of teachers. Z |
You lot ever hear that Kanye West song gold digger? You can basically get the information you're talking about from that in like 3 minutes and not have to worry about all the other red pill nonsense.

I have the opinion that if I cannot fix something within myself by myself, it will never be fixed.
So narrative therapy does seem the best out of those...but really, who needs therapy when you have INTP forum? |
I read the book few months ago. Like every book, there are good things you can learn from it:
- Women cannot love men the way men wants. Women are not our confidents. They expect us to lead, show strenght and provide. - You must work hard to keep a woman's nterest in an LTR. - We (men) are the true romantic - Being nice will not get you into women's intimacy. Fuck being the nice guy! I've stopped trying to be nice to women since I read this book and it feels gooood. There are also opinions I do not agree with, such as the idea that the entire society is under the influence of the female imperative. The main evidence iagainst this is the easy access to porn. Porn takes away the power women have on our sexual pleasure. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. I wish I would have read this book when I was 16. I would have made much less mistake with women. Yes, this book can be quite depressive and leaves you in total nihilism. Are you strong enough to take the hard truth of someone and become stronger? |

Have you ever considered the fact that they have hammered out their structure to the show. The structure which is talk for the first half, take calls for the second half. By the way, that is the same structure that the Dr. Drew Podcast utilizes also. I dont see anyone complaining about that.
