Your inner psychopath

Are you a Psychopath...

find out.

Psychopath Test

Post your results. I got 67% but everybody knows I'm an unemotional perfectionist on the path to glory without a care in the world for the people I trample on to reach greatness and total domination.

Your
score 30%

You are warm and empathic with a heightened awareness of social responsibility and a strong sense of conscience. You like to carefully weigh up the pros and cons of a situation before you act and are generally averse to taking risks. You are very much a ‘people person’ and dislike conflict. ‘Do unto others…’ are your watchwords. But, although you avoid hurting others, those residing at the higher end of the psychopathic spectrum might not be as considerate, so stay vigilant to avoid being hurt unnecessarily.

Hmm....quite pleased with part of this....but the fact I take time to weigh up pros & cons & am averse to risk; not so much.

Though your conscience is in the right place you also have a pragmatic streak and generally aren’t afraid to do your own dirty work! You’re no shrinking violet - but no daredevil either. You generally have little trouble seeing things from another person’s perspective but, at the same time, are no pushover. ‘Everything in moderation – including moderation’ might sum up your approach to life.

I got 67%, does that make me a psychopath?

Peace,

kowalski

I think it was created for channel 4 to promote a documentary they were doing about the psychopath scale and how there are many people with characteristics and traits that relate to a psychopath.

They interviewed a varied amount of people including mass murderers. It was found that professions such as bankers and doctors are extremely high on the psychopath scale.

Really interesting stuff. But then again I love researching psychology.

The test itself is very broad, as you said Kowalski. In doing that I think they were just trying to show how many characteristics and traits overlap from those of a psychopath. There is an extremely more indepth test here. The scores are asessed from a range of 1-5 and they are to 1 decimal point for a possibly more accurate score description.

This is how I spent my friday at work; emailing everyone in the building to do the quiz and then managing the results. Highest in the office was 86%.. best watch out for that guy.

I think though that those professions either lend themselves to people who are able to remove themselves from social obligatory conventions, or they encourage that in them. Either way, its not necessarily the reflection of the person, but the career that they have imposed on themselves or by others.

Your score from primary psychopathy has been calculated as 2.2. Primary psychopathy is the affective aspects of psychopathy; a lack of empathy for other people and tolerance for antisocial orientations.

Your score from secondary psychopathy has been calculated as 2.9. Secondary psychopathy is the antisocial aspects of psychopathy; rule breaking and a lack of effort towards socially rewarded behavior.

You score for primary psychopathy was higher than 52.93% of people who have taken this test.

You score for secondary psychopathy was higher than 67.52% of people who have taken this test.

Hmm. My scores seem pretty normal. I'm thinking the fact they are a decent amount higher than "most others" who have taken the test...really means that a lot of people haven't taken it - therefore the comparison sample is small.

Yeah same result here.

I remember some old stat about 2% of the population being psychopathic, so every time I come across some outright manipulative cunt I always think "ah, there's one of the 2%ers".
