I thought it was an interesting article, mainly because "women" seem to think it is and should be. However with the increase of swinging couples, polyamorous relationships, those who are living together and are together on a "civil union" type of basis, as opposed to out of wedlock, that seal is being broken. I believe polygamy is natural, based on Mammalian behaviour. Monogamy is a man made institution to impose control on people. Nevertheless I still do agree in the philosophy that a long term relationship works best when there are few complications and peripheral distractions. ie 1 on 1.

Everything is unnatural until it becomes integral to your person.

There is a chance that is the same as what K said but with less fancy words. Probably

You can objectify naturalness if you will, if you calibrate it or measure it against some paradigm you deem as a reference point. For example, a scientist can say my "Hypothesis is that monogamy is unnatural". I will monitor the mating habits of 100 different species and factually and logically deduce from this if my hypothesis holds any validity or not. If he finds after that study that the species he has examined do engage in polygamy then he has ever single right to "Factually and objectively" based on his premise, state that monogamy is unnatural or that polygamy is natural.

It really depends the context in which you define something as objective or subjective. In this regard, it can be "objectively proven" based on the scientists initial premise

Humans have consciousness and shit, we can't really be compared to animals about things like monogamy and love.

Very true Sha, but there are some that prefer to live in subjection simply because the world is too confusing for them so they accept peaceful ignorance.

The case and point is, 'scientists' have studied numerous and varied topics to try and prove their hypothesis, and unless you read scientific papers from the direct result of experimentations your only ever going to see whatever spin journalisms which to put on it to make articles readable (or more accurately marketable) to the general public. Not to say that there may be some political agenda, but at the end of the day journalism is a business model and it only makes business if people buy into it.

“A problem can not be solved from the same logical level it was created.”

Basic instinct means men are not to be monogamous. That being said we have each created a moral code based upon varying factors and learning.

Whether it is natural or not is irrespective. We have elevated ourselves above basic instinct and therefore its about having the will power to overcome natural urges if you believe that is how you should conduct yourself.

I have a natural urge to piss when im in bed... but i don't, coz i dont want to

Yeah you want to fuck other women but also you want your girlfriend. Which one wins is another matter.

Like if your girlfriend came home and said "Hey I just sucked your best friends dick, come give me a kiss!" how many guys would be like "Yeah polygamy rules!"?

True polygamy means both gets ta do da nasty wit evry1.

Have fun.

I don't really see the relevance of whether or not it's natural. Deodorant isn't natural, but it's still a good idea from time to time.

Also this made me laugh
