Time Capsule
 

I have been having an urge to capture my current present life in as much detail as possible, for me to look back on in 5 or 10 years time.

I'm thinking of taking lots of pictures over the course of a month, do lots of random doodles and note taking, print out everything relevant I read about, stuff like that, and even maybe make a website with all media stuff on it?

Ideas? Thoughts?

I would maybe make it easier to assimiliate than lots of pages and printouts. Maybe digital pictures, audio and video edited into a 10min video?

That way you won't open it in 5-10 years time and go wtf i have to read all of this?

I've never actually made a video recording of myself talking...but I think that would be awesome.... I have a HD webcam too so easily done!!
I want to write myself a letter as well..

you will look back in ten years time at yourself and think what a complete douche bag

I dont agreed at all!!
Im a memory hoarder by nature so I have note books,writings and art work from through out my life (had thousands of photos also but lost them all when my external hard disk got smashed a few years ago:cry:) and i do on very rare occassions ratch them out.
Its both humbling,painful and pleasing to go through these relics of my life and see how far ive come over the past 15 years or so.
Do it i say!!
Its amazing to have a reference point to the past its so easy to forget where you came from and how much youve grown!!:biggthumpup:

ive got loads and loads and loads and loads of pics of girls ive fucked and met over the last 15 years
some good memories in there but -- it was great to look back the once but i dont need to do that again

I guess its different strokes for different folks then.
I personally need to hang onto my past and never forget who i used to be.
If i forget im fucked!! haha

forget the future, tomorrow never comes

this is bollocks, while spontaneity is important, so is patience.

My point was regarding dwelling -- its ok to look back at the past for a moment, take what you want from it and move forward, its not good to dwell on the past
same with the future - plan a future yes but dont sit there dreaming of what will happen tomorrow
