not really, taking ecstasy was one of the best decisions i ever made. I used to be very violent & fight alot. I met an E and it changed my whole attitude.

People who take e's tend to be more chilled.

its not drugs that cause the problems, its the addiction

That one line is about heroin (obvious lyric "needle" gives it away). Aside from that the song isn't actually about drugs at all and never ever refers to the pain they cause. All that lyric implies is that heroin is ineffectual when used as an escape from himself.

It is actually a Trent Reznor composed Nine Inch Nails song. The original is pretty dope, but Cash's version brings tears to my eyes the way he rams emotion down the throat of the line - "You could have it all; my Empire of Dirt. I will let you down. I will make you hurt."

Amazing.

Thats intresting but johnny cash was a well known drug addict.

His early stuff im not that keen on the guitars sound they used in the 50s that tinny sound and badly produced sound quaility but his voice is something else.

Have you heard the song called A boy named sue its hilaroius.

Well i like his stuff from the seventies and onwards i think his voice improved as he got older your theory is very intresting i know he done a lot of cover versions but then actually improved it more then the original .

I remember he did a epipsode of columbo he reminds me of my dad with the seventies side burns and gruff voice and his manner he is very cool.

cash is one of my consistently-favorite artists as I've grown older, first being introduced to him through the Nine Inch Nails cover. Really like how the allows the lyrics to reflect his life, and the music video with the flashbacks to his huge stardom is haunting.
