Laptops - that overheat the LEAST...
Had an HP that used to boil up like a fucking kettle even with minimal use. This was due to a fault that the fuckers at HP REFUSED to do anything about. Numerous costly services/chargers/batteries and a heating stand later it finally died on me for good.
Brought another HP (long story)... but the LCD screen cracked really easily when I banged a coffee mug on the corner of it...and the cost to replace it is more than the laptop itself is now worth... so...I'm done with HP. What Laptops have you guys got/had. Which are good for browsing/word processing and over heat LEAST? *Don't really give a shit about games or other stuff that it takes a space station to run properly... Just brought a flat and am gonna be living off a bread and water within it so a MAC is probably beyond my means...What else is good...? Sonys? Toshibas? Samsung? Names and models of anything that's working for ya would be great lads...many thanks. |
one of my friends has a toshiba (not sure model) that overheats like a mofo. I really only use mac laptops now (OSX seems a lot more reliable than windows ever was) but I've never had heating issues.
How much are you willing to spend? I'm pretty sure you can get a few years old Macbook that's refurbished for only a few hundred dollars through apple... |
I thought most modern laptops these days won't have too many heating issues?
They all have warranty or guarantee anyways? I have a Packard Bell laptop and it works fine.. |
I have a 5yr old Dell, the only overheating problem comes when i lay it on my duvet for half and hour as it restricts the vents.
At work we use toshibas and Dells which don't give any trouble... |
Hmm...Cheers for the ideas gents. Keep em coming.
|
Scrap my last, Toshiba's and Dells are good, but talking with some friends about good laptops and we came to the consensus, Sony is the way to go.

For me, Sony latops are overpriced for what they are - you might as well buy a cheap dell and make sure you give it some air circulation underneath.
If you want a workhorse then go for a toshiba or a mac pro. |
usually when laptops overheat its because you are sat with it on your knee or on the quilt in bed and its due to the fans on the bottom being blocked
