Being lied about on FB
 

Well I got a text off a friend yesterday, telling me my ex has been writing on her status on FB that I have been sleeping with prossies after work...

To my amazement, she has wrote this, and then 6 people like it, and 6 people commented on it calling me names...

What is the best course of action?

The situation is this: I am no longer speaking to my ex, haven't done so in like 2 months.. I don't really want to confront her on it as I CBA with chatting to her with all the agro it will bring from her nut job benefits cheating family..

Obviously this makes me angry, as some people I know do have her as a friend and will read this. I guess the only fortunate thing is that she didn't use my name, just "my ex".

Don't confront it, Just ignore it mate.

It's like calling each other silly names in the playground, if people are willing to believe you sleep with ladies of the night because she says so, they obviously aren't your close friends.

Rise above it, she won't get the rise/kick she wants, you don't have the stress of a confrontation - the only way to win!

I was thinking that. This is why FB is bad. Cos things like this can happen. She's obviously just jealous cos I've moved on and kinda meeting this new girl..

A part of me wants to go to her house in the night, slash her car tyres, paintball her windows and slingshot her windows with metal ballbearings..

I will just rise above it, I hate confrontation and arguments anyway, takes too much effort...

I do have nude photos of her that she wouldn't want broadcasting.. Still, can't be assed with the conflict..

And yeah thats true, I don't work with kids or anything, but nobody likes being accused of stuff they haven't done..

Even though I know I shouldn't be assed what people think of me, it still kinda plays on my mind a little..

Little update on the situation:

When I split from my ex, it was because I cheated with a guy from work's ex.. Well he fell out with me, then met up with my ex, then it all went silent for ages..

Now the guy from work is ok with me again and chats to me sometimes.. He text me saying that my ex text him about the prossies, and asked me if its true. I said its bullshit. He said she told him that her neighbor saw me going into a "well known ho house".

So thats her basis for this lie. Her neighbour apparantly saw me visit a well known ho house. I also know who her neighbor is.. Thought he was an alright dude in his 40s.. Prick

Al_phaD, as sympathetic as I am to your situation, I misread that post in my haste and nearly pissed myself

It occured to me thats how it sounded, but I CBA to reword it :P

My female friend who originally told me about the status.. has said if my ex carries on writing things like that she will have a go at her because she knows I am not like that..

Which kinda matches what K said about another harder girl having a talking to her..

If things get worse, I do have nude photos of her... Perhaps a verbal threat?

I wouldn't even do that, you send round a girl mate, she sends round a guy mate, you release nude photo's she does the same.

If it were my, I'd could let it slide knowing that karma will right things and that you'll be ok regardless!

Well.. no development on this.

I didn't contact my ex..
I got someone to check her profile to see if she wrote any other shit, and she's just been writing normal stuff about watching films and going out and that crap..

Seems she moved on from this..

And yes, some people are just dicks. As if I went out with her for two and a half years..
