Default Good movies and shows - 21-02-2021, 03:31 PM

I was looking for the thread we had on movies and shows but I couldn't find it and ended up down a rabbit hole of nostalgia looking through threads from years gone by.

Anyways, I watched T2: Trainspotting last night.

I attempted it twice after it came out but each time I was blackout drunk before it was over, so I never knew how it ended. But I watched both movies last night, and the sequel was really good. Very impressive work.

It's always risky to fuck with a movie like Trainspotting, which should generally be left as the standalone movie it is, but Danny Boyle really came up with the goods and produced an excellent follow up story for the gang.

Anything less than brilliant wouldn't have sufficed, and in my opinion it was brilliant.

Who's seen it?

I have.

The part that sticks with me is when Begbie is knocked out with a toilet bowl. Hilarious.

What struck me more about that scene was Sick-boy stopping Begbie from strangling Renton, saving his life, because at the start when Renton returned, it was Sick-boy who wanted nothing more than to absolutely ruin him.

Yet when it come down to it, he didn't want to see his old homie die.

It's little touches like this, which are easily overlooked by the casual, passive watcher, that make the movie brilliant.

There is a good free movie to watch here from 1986. It is called Sid and Nancy and is about the last couple of years of the life of Sid Vicous of the Sex Pistols:

Yes! The Davinci Code! Which is a conspiracy film about Jesus. It claims that what we were taught about him was wrong. And that he really married and had children. The descendants of whom are alive today! It is a great film:
