how do i pick up a girl working in a shop?

i always use asking for something as a opener?

Never give them yours.. I've only done it once (waitress) and though it did it the best way i could. Waited untill she was away from everyone at the till and no college's near her. Just went direct and said i though she was cute and gave her a card with my number on it. Never rang. I'm guessing it's always best for you to get their number as you have a little more control in the interaction for their on in. :-) My lesson learned

If it's a girl on a till ask them things like how's it going? how's your day? what's your name? (in fact do all 3) Generally take an interest in them and treat them like a human being other than some faceless shop drone and they'll appreciate it because they get treated like a robot all day, be pretty bored and then you swing by and talk to them in a friendly way.

Retro used his card trick to open up and I personally think it is awesome...madforit thinks it is awesome too but trying to convince Retro to use it is another matter haha! The challenge is to keep the frame after the initial magic trick...!

Bit of a gimmick magic tricks if you ask me. Sure if you want to learn some tricks for shits and giggles, self-amusement, momentarily amuse your friends/strangers go ahead. But its no basis for a pick-up....so you guessed which card she picked, so what? What else you got after that?

A women is going to choose you for you, not because of any magic trick. Work on yourself dude not magic tricks....unless you fancy yourself as a kids entertainer.

my new plan is to use magic to win over the guys in the group nothing to magical jsut a few coin tricks ect .. i bought the david blaine bitten 10pence
