one step too far on a neg?
 

Some people on here recommend not negging on online dating sites.
I usually try to put something in about their picture.
The target has already added you as a "friend" so the next step is just to email them.
I possibly went one step too far the other day when negging them about their profile pic (I use this as an opener/breaker) sometimes before immediately going onto other stuff. The neg was about a goofy look.
No reply yet, reckon i should leave it a couple of days and then apologise? I'm sure apologising could be seen as a bit needy.

Actually, you could generalise the question and say when to follow up on a dating site when the initial message doesn't responded to within say 3 days.

I'd just move on to someone else and if she replies, then get some sex, if not, get sex from someone else

But I see your point about, not necessarily negging them online but making fun and bantering rather than just saying "hi how are you" to which most women hate..

I just find it strange that people might add you and then when you message there's no response from some of them. What's the point in adding in the first place? Even a small neg usually elicits a response - at the very least if they have a personality, you'd get a sarcastic response and that's good enough for a conversation. However, a lack of response either means you offended them or they have no interest in a simple reply to your message.

Unless she's super hot I wouldn't neg her at all, just send something playful/ cocky is usually enough, if this is POF, fuck me what are you bothered about just one girl for? just send another 20 emails out. Don't appologise to her why would you want to do that????? Besides she'll just think you're an even biggar twat. Forget about it, its just a girl there a fucking thousands and thousands out there.

It's a smaller site, city based, not that many people on it at present...more of a way of meeting people rather than dating.
The neg is usually playful or cocky, usually something about their profile pic, which is an indirect neg....could be something in the background, something unrelated.

Like I said, if it was a dating site then I wouldn't be so bothered but as it's a small town social site...

But negging should be playful and flirtatious... not what you say how you say it and when you say it.... very easy to be taken the wrong way online! That is if your not on a webcam to a girl.

I havent been on a dating website for a while now but when i did , i sent out maybe 10 messages to girls and would maybe get 3-4 replies...... if i didnt recieve a reply i wouldnt even remember who i sent a message to! so my advise would be mesage some others.
