"Too timid" to have a girlfriend-what does this mean?
 

I was talking to a girl when volunteering and she asked "do only brown haired people have freckles" (why ask this so randomly??)
anyway I said "nope, some non brown or ginger haired people have them! One of my exes was blonde and she had them! Oooof they're hot, I love them!!"
She said "I thought you'd be too timid to have girlfriend!"
I was quite shocked and simply shook my face, laughed and said no (I wasn't lieing....)

What the heck did she mean? I thought I was being confident around her etc?
Is it an IOI, or her flirting?
Any other thoughts

Its a shit test. A pretty severe one at that - even I cant think of a snappy retort to that one. She was testing your confidence to see if it was real.

Hmm interesting! I was thinking maybe I didn't seem as confident as I thought. But that is great! I have improved my confidence greatly so that makes me feel good, on one hand that she may be testing it, but on the other hand bad because I don't feel I dealt with it well (but I don't think I should be hard on myself as even now I can't think of anything different to say apart from saying no and then maybe giving her a taste of her own medicine by asking something similar back?!

Btw, by severe do you mean hard to answer? Hmm I mean come on girls need to give us a chance with their shit tests! They need to be hard, but not impossible!!:rolleyes:

Haha! I don't think that was appropriate though because we volunteer there weekly for our C.Vs and were around people with mental health conditions and workers who work there!

Out of interest, how long did it take you to think about that?

In hindsight, you could have said: Are you trying to hook up with me?

lol it all depends how she said it!! it could just be teasing as she likes you!

Worst thing you can do is read into shit to much!!! the problem is with that is that she didnt logically think "im going to say he's timid now because of this and that". People speak without thinking 2 much..... just react on your emotion! but the trick is to not feel any negative emotion to shit test stuff. At this point you need to tease her back like she's your little sister.... if you dont then she wont be able to feel any so called "chemistry".
