Smiling and looking back
 

In a shopping centre, walking along.
Smile at pretty girl in a two set who are walking in the opposite direction.
Walks a bit further.
Looks back over my shoulder and she's also looking back.

Is the girl looking back an IOI in itself?

My friend said it depends on the face she's pulling as she looks back (i.e. an "ooo ;)" face or a "wtf :wtf:" face).

Both faces are a reaction. Any reaction is better than no reaction.

By "why look back" do you mean "why would she look back otherwise?" ?
If so then I'm not sure. I can't really remember any times when someone has looked back and given me a wtf look.
Even this time I wasn't looking at her expression. I didn't even expect her to be looking back tbqh.

I've just been practising smiling at girls if I find them attractive.
I find that a lot of people, including me, don't smile enough.

A couple of weeks ago, this really hot blonde at a bar was totally eyeballing me for ages but I lacked the balls to chat her up with literally all the boys and girls watching. Just forget about the bullshit and move on (my excuse is it was my friend's last night in the country so am I going to be chatting up this hot chick or getting smashed with him?).
