Jaz this is a great point... warms to the theme of -- as k mentioned elsewhere -- half of everyone is below average.
Facebook and Twitter has a wide range of disparate users, including offering plenty of amusement to the superficial crowd who rely almost entirely on other's validation.
Such people have nothing important nor useful to say.
At this moment in time, there is a $90 billion valuation of Facebook and $10 billion valuation of Twitter.
How many of these 100 billion dollars are derived from company value created by the frequent visits of half-wits (OK, quarter-wits) to these sites? In business, if u can make money off the idiots, then do it. They are certainly achieving phenomenal valuations pre-IPO.
