Just looking for a bit of advice.

If you are going to a friends party where there may be quite a few girls you don't know, what sort of game do you use?

My normal approach is with an opinion opener. For some reason, I don't feel comfortable doing this around friends of friends. For instance if I say "Me and my buddy where having a discussion...." and the only 2 people I know at the party are near by it seems a bit lame (especially if they were to call you out on it).

So how do you guys work this? Just play your normal game? Small talk, just with confidence? Anything else?

This doesn't just have to apply to parties. For instance, if your friends bring out a new girl that you're in to, what would be the best approach?

You don't feel comfortable because it's incongruent. Be honest you don't really care about her opinion on this or that, it's a contrivance. You know it, she knows it. Go, have fun, muck about, make people laugh, make friends, chat with people, all the while have in the back of your mind an awareness of the little looks and hints that having fun and getting out of your head will generate around you. Same applies to the latter scenario, have fun for yourself and the rest will follow.

Just be the guy who works the room introducing himself and chatting to people, you'll be suprised how many people don't do this and how much it works in your favour.

Sack off the opinion opener.

I usually start conversation with friends of friends by asking how they know them.

Or if your friend is chatting to your target I'd be like 'who's your mate?'

I said "I don't want to use opinion openers", (my thoughts were the same as all of yours but I'm new to this), haha.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think if I'm in this situation I'll just try working the room.

I'm always genuine! I just use opinion openers when out and about talking to randomers to break the ice, so to speak.

I would advise not using any game at all. Especially mystery method or natural. Don't think about game at all, just spend your time having fun and then spreading that fun to the people you meet.

It depends what you mean by not using game, if you go dressed as a circus clown and say things like ‘who lies more men or women’ then I agree but on the other hand if you’re going to develop confidence, proceed to bore the pants off her by using the same stupid questions and hang around her like a love sick puppy and offer to top her glass up then that’s also going to get you fuck all.

By all means be happy, clappy, skippy funny and all that bollocks, but you need to use some game elements, negging, engineering a connection etc etc.

Thanks Knave, that's what I was thinking. My number 1 priority would be to go and have a general good time but as there will be a shit load of girls there I may as well try something.

Most of my mates are intelligent, funny guys, but almost all of them when confronted with a chick will start interviewing her and have no clue about her triggers. If you ignore hook points in a conversation or don’t attempt to connect with her you could be the funniest guy in the room and she’ll probably think you’re a really nice guy, but she won’t fuck you.
