Handling Rude Behaviour

Had a couple of poor sets in a row tonight- this came as a surprise as I haven't generally encountered people being hostile.

I was a bit rusty as I hadn't opened cold for a while and my mate refuses to open any sets!

How do you handle rude behaviour?- people turning away, laughing in your face, telling you to f-off etc?

In the past I've found I can sometimes engage people who initially seem cold if I refuse to be intimidated, stay relaxed, maintain eye contact etc.

If I have to eject I'll always wish them a nice evening, try not to give it a seconds thought and move on to another set.

How do you handle rude behaviour?

I will prob make a statement like,

"wow your a bit of a bitch arent you, did your mother teach you that?"

Gets the conversation flowing a bit

Appreciate the replies, thanks.

Comedian - I like that, if they still act like a bitch then you know!

Camarda -
1st set - my mate pointed them out
2nd set - no other available sets
I didn't particularly even think about whether I was attracted to any of them.
I was completely sober, in each case just said 'Hi' and then something situational.

1st set- what didn't help was the noise - the girl tried to be sarcastic which I've dealt with before but I had to keep asking for her reply as I couldn't hear.
Rather than be intimidated, I walked round the table and opened their friends who were a bit more responsive.
2nd set - I think they were just plain rude.

I know I wasn't on top form for various reasons, but was keen to just make some approaches without thinking about closing.
