opening a group (problem)
 

i encountered a problem whilst opening a group

six women sat down at a table in a bar, i approached using the opener of 'i can't believe sally's not here yet' and immediately sat down on the spare seat. five of the girls were fighting for my attention firing questions such as 'who's Sally' and 'who are you out with' ect. unfortunately the 6th girl was not so nice, I tried to ignore her the best i could and concentrated on talking to the other girls. This girl ended up making threats at one point, which just lowered the tone of the moment and ended up with me having to just walk away from what would have been a positive outcome

Any tips?

Kill her with kindness..... just find a point about her u like and mention it... Somethin like You seem pretty reserved, ill bet there is a smile in there somewhere... you have really nice hair by the way.... then continue with your convo....

hard to be a twat to someone who has just paid you a huge compliment....

cracking idea is that Phil, will certainly use that one in future, as it will turn a negative tone into a positive.
If that doesn't work will probably use Kowalski last idea.
