Keep Progressing....

At times when you feel you are not progressing in your PUA journey, when you are still being crippled by Approach Anxiety, being blown out night in night out by one girl after another, set after set, having high hopes of one day becoming a MPUA but struggling to even number close; cast your mind back to what you were like before you join the community. Were you approaching at all? Did you have any social interactions with the opposite sex? Were you sociable at all or working to be a one? Compare to what you are now to what you were like before? The fact that now you are willing, egging yourself to talk to a girl rather than admiring her from a distance is progress. Progress is talking to a hot babe when your chodey mates just drooling over her. Progress is being the alpha male in a party when a few short months ago you were standing in the corner looking around and feeling lonely. Progress is being able to tell a random stranger she is stunning and you want to take her out. A lot of the time we are so outcome dependent that when we get blown out, we feel like we aren’t progressing, we aren’t cut out to be sociable; maybe our call is to be a chode, an introvert who settles for second best. We think we fail, so the next ugly girl who shows a bit of interest, we jump into bed and have this so-called long term relationship. Seen this happen and it disappoints me. With all that knowledge, end up settling with second, third, fourth best..! Maybe beauty is afterall skin deep 

I tell you what progress is. Progress is being in a supermarket and able to tell a girl she is hot without fear of rejection. Progress is being able to have a long conversation with an HB10 in an airport departure lounge when everyone else was drooling over her and number close her. Progress is sleeping with more women (double figure) in the first year in the community than the previous 38 years of my life. Progress is having to juggle with 3 different women who have fallen for you to the point that you feel temporarily disillusioned by the whole PUA thing. Progress is having a colleague telling you just last week that he has rarely met anyone who is good and more sociable with women and who has no fear of approaching them. These are just highlights of my PUA progress. There are many more highlights over a period of 1.5 years BUT I am getting “unhealthily comfortable” and I need to get my arse in gear again because I have a long way to go. This might shock you because, although I am brilliant at building comfort and attraction over a long period of time to get my f-close, Im a chode when it comes to a 1-night stand (happens once in Vegas) and something that I need to work on. Im still a chode when it comes to approaching a large set in a bar or club. AA can cripple me too. I can EASILY crawl into my shell and become the introvert, unsocial being that I once was. I have many reasons than most guys in this forum to come up with excuses why I cannot progress, why I cannot be socially awesome, why I cannot pick up a hot blonde woman (a matter of preference) – I’m older than most, English isn’t my mother tongue although I live here for 20 years now, I’m so average looking foreigner with a British passport, I’m not the most eloquent, I struggle to hold a conversation and that shit.

The reason for this post is just a realisation that I have come a long way from my pre PUA days and to encourage guys out there that this community works and the knowledge you can have being in this community is GOLD. I suggest you write down what I call “PUA Highlights” and compare that what you were like pre PUA. As much as we try to block the blow outs, rejections; there are times these will get us down BUT when you have your PUA highlights written down, it is a reminder of how far we have come along and we need to keep giving us a pat on the shoulder…!
