Is this a good look to go out in?
 

I like wearing formal shirts but I feel like they don’t look quite right tucked into dark indigo jeans so I wear them with trousers instead (not chinos suit type trousers).

Is this a good look do you think or should I stick to the jeans?

It's not that simple. Depends on a lot of factors; colour, cut, material, detail of each item and composition of the outfit as a whole... then there's the social context and your build, hair colour etc to take into account.

When one says "person X would think y if they saw z" they are merely describing their personal prejudice and seeing as we already know you don't like me we already know what personal prejudice is being described here.
