I got through about 29 of the exercises over a 2 month period, about a year ago. Admittedly I was out of work so I had more spare time.
I think the key variable is your current level of game prior to reading - I had crippling approach anxiety at the start, had never opened a set.
It's also useful as most of the exercises are solitary so you can be running it as a side project, ideally in addition to going out with your wings.
I can still remember stopping a couple of tourists outside South Kensington tube to ask about clothing shops and being almost terrified - it seems ridiculous to write this now but that's how it was then!!!
I seem to remember the exercises being particularly good for busting AA and reminding you why you are a super hero champion to help rack up the inner game.
I'm at the point now where I can pretty much open most of the time, and looking forward to getting even better with the help of things like this forum.
'The Rules' isn't the only factor that helped me along but it played it's part.
I also came across an older title which I found useful too, very common sense, pragmatic and thorough - it's the complete opposite of gimmicks and Mystery type stuff.
