Hey guys,

I've been very inspired not just by the alpha value of Tyler Durden, but also by some of the philosophies in the film, as I'm sure maybe many of you have.

I'm struggling though to grasp the idea that, "on a long enough timescale... everyone's survival rate becomes zero." The acceptance of death and readiness of it.

Does anyone think they're even close to this, or think that its possible to fully comprehend and understand what it means. I believe that we live our lives oblivious to the fact that we are mere mortals.

you never know there could actually be an afterlife

think about this example to demonstrate how this could be;

imagine being able to speak to a feotus in a mothers womb. imagine telling that feotus that one day he's going to enter into the "real world" and that his current existence in the warm cosy womb is merely temporary. imagine you told it that it would soon see amazing things like the sky mountains cars and also experience terrible things like loss and heartache etc..

the feotus would simply not beleive you, how could it, it has not seen these things and/or has no knowledge or experience of them.

this however does not mean that the world outside of the womb is not real, as we all know.

the same analogy can apply to our current life and a possible after life, just because we have no experience of it (and we choose not to belive it) does not mean that it is not there.

just thought id through that out there..
