Anxiety vs sensibility?

This week I was out for some day game for the first time in a while. Almost all the approaches that I did involved first walking past the girl or letting the girl walk past me, almost letting it go, then contemplating approaching her, changing my mind and going back. In other cases where I committed to the decision to approach right from the start and follow through with it, it usually involves spotting the girl from quite some distance away and analysing the situation and bracing myself.

One thing that I didn’t do at all this week was to open any hot girls immediately when I saw them. Like when I am walking past many people in the street and it is all fast pace and I suddenly see a hot girl and there would only be about 2 seconds before she passes.

All my approaches where conscious decisions (with hesitation) and not a reflexive or instinctive action. I think I would like it if I could open without any hesitation, but would that always be a good thing? There were a couple of cases where I suddenly spotted stunning hot girls sanding by themselves as I moved past on busy paths where I came very very close to approaching them and then seconds later I see them catch up with a boyfriend or someone I didn’t know they were with when I first saw them. I know many of the cased would just have been missed opportunities were the girls were actually not with a boyfriend. I guess it is a risk, but I don’t know if it is a sensible risk to take.
