How to get good at this

Hi I'm fairly new to pickup, Ive known about the community for almost a year now, and have been actively looking to 'get a girlfriend' or 'get laid' as more than just a desire for a few years now.

Im posting this as I want to start taking this shit seriously as I am not happy with my current standpoint with women. I don't feel like I'm in any danger of meeting a future girlfriend at this point in my life, and I don't see myself getting laid again in the near future as things stand.

What I think it my best bet is learning this pickup stuff for real. I understand going out at lot is a big part of this, and I also understand having a general positive attitude is also key, and to learn from mistakes quickly and effectively through analysing my interactions and scrolling through hours of youtube videos and pickup forums.

My problem however, lies in the fact I am unable to drink alcohol at the moment due to a physical condition, and I have a full time occupation in the week. My best bet in my opinion is to work on social circle game throughout the week with friends, colleagues etc. and just get myself out there socially. I also think that actively approaching girls on the weekend is something I want to do but I have a few concerns.

I want to do the 'pickup' stuff somewhere outside of my living space, e.g. different city, town. I want anonymity and high volume because I know I suck. In an ideal world I would have a friend who wants to do this with me but I don't, so finding a wing is proving difficult.

Any advice would help.
