BF test
 

First of all I'd like to apologise to the fact that I havn't been on here in a while. Mainly due to the fact that I've been focusing my attention on Scotlair (living in aberdeen now, it's better to find wingmen etc there)

Anyway, need advice on something..........was doing well with a 2-set tonight, getting some IOI's and kino from the target, so I decided to introduce style's Best friends test...........turns out that not only did they not look at each other but they didn't use the same shampoo, so from there I completely bombed. I know I could have at least got a number close if I'd just been running natural game instead of diving into a routine but was wondering what you guys would have said in my situation when the BF test failed.

This is really good advice. rstu992 is obviously a competent PUA so I'd listen to what he's got to say.

Blackfelt, if you had used what rstu992 suggested you may have perhaps had similar results. Basically you cannot expect everyone to react in the same way to a routine, just because the 'world no.1 PUA' said it can be a good passage of conversation. Your downfall is your handling of the situation. You lost your cool by the sound of it.

Having nothing to say is no excuse. You've got years of experiences and ideas to share with people, share them with the girls you are talking to.

Blackfelt, I had exactly the same issue in my earlier days, and I'll give you the advice the guys on here gave me. The sooner you drop routines the better. The problem is you're doing this routine in order to illicit a response from the girls, which is never going to go well.

Instead of using routines to work your way around people's filters, be authentic and speak to them as if they're real people, rather than people to impress with your routine. If you are honest and your badass self with people there will be no incongruence and they'll warm to you far more easily.

i dont think we should dump routines completely...

i think routines are a greta way of gettign conversations going... its your ability to adapt and take ownership of a routine...

a routine shouldnt be a set-script to follow... but a loose framework for you to create off of.

you used a routine, and the result was unexpected..

developing the ability to create a spontaneous and authentic conversation out of that is something you could work on...

for example...

the routine completely fails...

'i cant beleive someone told me that test worked!!?? you guys look like really good friends anyway... how did you meet!?'

... shut down the routine there, and ask a genuine question, then you're finding out genuine information, which they should reply positively to, if they dont, theyre not really worht talking to....

Couldn't agree more. I'm still firmly of the view that, for guys still finding their feet in the PUA world, routines are a good way to get a conversation going and get them talking to women. However...

Couldn't you avoid all the bullshit of the routine simply by saying "You guys look like really good friends, how do you know each other?"

It boils down to the ends to which you're using the routine. If you're using it for self amusement, then great. But if you're using it so the girls will go "Wow! Oh my god that's so cool, you're awesome!" you will come unstuck.
