ok number closed a girl on sat night, text her on monday night

me: hey is this gemma who was at the box on sat night? lol x

gemma: hey! yea it is lol. didnt think you would remember me. whats up? r u going out on thurs? x

Me: hey yea i had two gemma on the phone didnt know which one you were :/ lol yea ofc had funtalkin to you with you and you were looking well were u going thurs? box? x

send it around 9 30pm mon night so not likely she feel asleep or somethin like that, any advice on what to do next and what u think about my "txt game" ?

As always Jaz is on the money here, couple of things i'd like to add;

Personally I like to be mindful of grammar, punctuation etc. With all your interactions, whether the initial approach, talking on the phone or texting you are selling yourself. Sloppy grammar or over-use of 'txt spk' can make you look like abit of a dimwit, Girls tend to like articulate guys so do what you can to demonstrate this. I personally lose attraction for a girl if her texts 'read lyk dis'.

Also I didn't like this line;

'hey yea i had two gemma on the phone didnt know which one you were :/ lol yea ofc had funtalkin to you with you and you were looking well were u going thurs? box? x'

As Jaz says, don't try to be clever or even if you weren't intending to be clever by saying 'I had two Gemmas on my phone...' is irrelevant, why should she care about that?

'You were looking well'???.....what's your relationship to her there? an old friend? acquaintance?...playing it too safe for me there mate. No intent, you like her right, tell her you thought she looked hot/cute/gorgeous/sexy that night. Throw caution to the wind, it's only a text (took me a long time to realise that by the way).

And Big one for me, Nova hammered this into me, don't ask too many questions, only ask them if necessary otherwise talk in statements. Instead don't say 'Where you going Thursday? Box?'...say 'I'm going to the box Thursday come join us it'll be fun'. No if's, no but's.

Recently I text a girl saying 'I'm going to a party tomorrow night and you're my date for the evening i'll see you around 8pm' No questions asked, just telling her directly what the deal is. I hadn't had any corresspondance with her for a while so thought she wouldnt respond but she did.

Jaz I think you should write a piece on your thoughts on texting if you feel the guys could benefit.

Thanks very much for the input guys, hustler i think i will take the grammar concept on board from now on, this is what i needed to be honest a girl to test out my texting, if i was to text a girl i really liked, this bullshit would of lost me the girl. I have learned from this so appreciate the input, do you reckon i should text her again if so what should i say, be upfront and say, " i did have a good time talkin to you and you are gorgeous i'll see you thurs "

or should i wait for her to hopefully text me back?

I often find myself thinking "damn I think I fucked up with that last text, maybe I should send another" - but absolutely don't give in to that! I recently thought I messed up a text by being a bit too sexual and scaring her off (she didn't reply for quite a while), but made myself wait instead of texting again - lo and behold she responded in kind later You appear needy by re-texting - remember not to care about possibly losing her! Plus, even if she doesn't respond at all, you could still just go to the potential meet anyway and maybe bump into her.

These are some rough guidelines I use:

• Pick up with flirt-text where you left off with 'real' flirting
• Always escalate! Do it in each successive text if you can
• Be bold. Pays off surprisingly well in text. If you're being a pussy it will show!
• You drive it - set the pace and topic. Ignore her questions if necessary
• KISS - Keep it simple, stupid
• Always have one question or open statement inviting comment (like Hustler25 says)

Another fun thing I recently discovered - if you've already got a bit physical with her, KClose etc, and it was blatantly you making the first moves and escalating - switch it round in text as if it was her throwing herself at you, for example something like "I'd invite you along but I don't know if I could resist your advances a second time! ". They love it!
