Has anyone ever had any bad experiences with PUA lessons/coaching?

I'm researching for a documentary about the art of seduction and in particular the PUA community.
I was wondering if anyone has any stories of bad experiences with attending PUA workshops/bootcamps/1:1 sessions? For example, was their advice just plain bad? Did you find yourself paying for a service where you saw no results? Have you been practicing techniques and game that you knew weren't right for your personality? Has attending a workshop made you feel less confident and more alone than when you started?

Unfortunately, this is typical of what the world gets. Even more so as the viewpoint is cynical, and probably seeking to enrage the reader of said article.

Sorry you feel like this! To be clear, we have already constructed a really positive view of the PUA community and shown how beneficial it can be for men. We've been to workshops where guys have got amazing results with girls that they never dreamed they could achieve without the help of their coaches.

To get a well rounded argument for the film we also need to hear from people who haven't had such a positive experience. Just looking for some honest and relatable experiences.
